This Privacy Policy explains how PreClear Cybersecurity, Inc. collects, uses, and handles information when you visit our website, use PreClear Business, contact us, or interact with our services.

1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated through your use of PreClear Business, and limited information necessary to operate, secure, and administer the service.
Account and organization information
When you create or use a PreClear Business account, we may collect information such as your name, business email address, organization name, account status, organizational membership, assigned role, and related account information.
Subscription and billing information
We maintain information necessary to associate your organization with its PreClear subscription, such as plan, subscription status, billing interval, and identifiers associated with our payment processor.
Payment transactions are processed through Stripe. Payment information submitted through Stripe is subject to Stripe's own privacy and security practices.
Analysis and security information
When PreClear analyzes a file, the file is processed to evaluate security characteristics and generate a Trust Decision.
PreClear does not retain the contents of files submitted for analysis after processing is complete. We retain security metadata and analysis results associated with the submission, which may include the filename, file type, MIME type, file size, cryptographic hash, threat intelligence results, risk level, Trust Decision, explanations, review status, and related security evidence.
When PreClear uses VirusTotal threat intelligence, PreClear submits the file's SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint to query existing threat intelligence. PreClear does not upload the contents of the submitted file to VirusTotal as part of this reputation lookup.
Team and invitation information
Organizations that use team features may provide email addresses and role information for people they invite to PreClear. We also maintain information necessary to administer invitations, membership status, and organizational access.
Governance and activity information
PreClear may maintain organizational activity, review actions, resolution notes, governance settings, and audit events to provide security, accountability, reporting, and Trust Ledger functionality.
Contact and support information
If you contact PreClear, request information, submit a sales inquiry, or request support, we may collect your name, company name, email address, estimated service requirements, purchase-order information, subject, message, and other information you choose to provide.
2. How we use information
We use information collected through PreClear to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve our services.
This may include using information to authenticate users, administer organizations and memberships, perform security analyses, generate Trust Decisions, maintain security evidence and audit records, provide reports, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, communicate with customers, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and protect the security and integrity of the service.
3. Service providers
We may use third-party service providers to help operate PreClear, including providers supporting payment processing, hosting, communications, security analysis, threat intelligence, and other infrastructure necessary to deliver the service.
These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to perform the services for which they are engaged.
4. Threat intelligence and security analysis
PreClear may use third-party security and threat intelligence services to supplement its analysis.
PreClear currently uses VirusTotal threat intelligence by querying the SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint of a submitted file. This allows PreClear to determine whether the fingerprint is associated with existing threat intelligence without uploading the contents of the submitted file to VirusTotal as part of that lookup.
5. How we share information
PreClear does not sell customer information or personal information.
We do not disclose customer information except as necessary to provide and secure the service, administer our business, comply with applicable law or legal process, protect the rights and safety of PreClear and others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We may also share information when you or your organization directs or authorizes us to do so.
6. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through PreClear against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No internet-based service or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore continually evaluate and improve our security practices as the platform evolves.

7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and administer PreClear, maintain security and audit records, satisfy contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for which it is maintained, and applicable customer, operational, security, or legal requirements.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information associated with you, which may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other treatment of that information.
Certain information may need to be retained where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

9. Children's privacy
PreClear Business is a business security service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly offer PreClear Business for use by children under 13.
